Our Expertise

StatMate was founded by researchers who were frustrated with expensive SPSS licensing costs and the tedious process of manual APA formatting. Built by a team combining deep statistical expertise with modern web development, our mission is to make professional-grade statistical analysis accessible to every researcher.

Why We Built StatMate

As graduate researchers, we spent too many hours wrestling with SPSS licenses that expired mid-semester and manually formatting APA tables. We knew there had to be a better way. StatMate was born from that frustration — a tool built by researchers, for researchers, that combines statistical rigor with modern web technology.

Statistical Accuracy

Every calculator is cross-validated against R and SPSS to ensure results match to at least 4 decimal places. We follow established formulas from authoritative statistics textbooks.

APA Formatting

Our APA output follows the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 7th Edition. We regularly review updates to ensure compliance.

Modern Engineering

Built with Next.js, TypeScript, and jStat. Client-side computation ensures privacy and speed. Open-source statistical libraries for transparency.

Calculation Methodology

All 20 calculators use established statistical formulas from authoritative textbooks and are cross-validated against R and SPSS to at least 4 decimal places.

Parametric Tests (5)

T-Test (independent, paired, one-sample), One-Way ANOVA, Two-Way ANOVA, Repeated Measures ANOVA — validated against R t.test(), aov()

Non-Parametric Tests (6)

Mann-Whitney U, Wilcoxon Signed-Rank, Kruskal-Wallis H, Friedman, Chi-Square, Fisher's Exact — validated against R wilcox.test(), kruskal.test(), chisq.test(), fisher.test()

Regression & Correlation (4)

Simple Regression, Multiple Regression, Logistic Regression, Pearson/Spearman Correlation — validated against R lm(), glm(), cor.test()

Reliability & Other (5)

Cronbach's Alpha, Factor Analysis (EFA), McNemar Test, Sample Size/Power Analysis, Descriptive Statistics — validated against R psych::alpha(), factanal(), pwr package

All calculations run client-side in your browser. Source code uses jStat, simple-statistics, and custom implementations following formulas from Howell (2013), Field (2018), and Tabachnick & Fidell (2019).
